Don't Be Blinded By Love

January 22, 2016

The woman in this picture is clearly beautiful and stylish. But her beauty, personality, and presence are all being overwhelmed by the make up covering her face. It is only from stripping all of that away that are able to see her true self. And, in turn, her coping mechanism no longer allows her to see the world clearly. Make up is something that should be a fun experience and can be used as a positive expression of the person that you are and the person that you want the outside world to see. But if you're a victim of domestic violence, it can also be a way of hiding the pain that you deal with on a regular basis. Domestic violence is something that affects 1 in 3 women in their lifetime. Many stay in abusive and destructive relationships because while their partner is someone who hurts them, they are also someone that the woman loves and even trusts. This design is to remind us all that the words "I love you" are not enough to build a strong relationship. They need to be accompanied by a supportive heart and positive behavior. This design is dedicated to all those that have been hurt by love. It gives support to women who need to find their strength to discover something better for themselves. What do you think of this design? What images and thoughts does it conjure up in you and how does it help show the world who you are? Add to the conversation by commenting below.
