There are few people who by adulthood have not been impacted by cancer in some way. There are 200 different types and about 1 in 3 people will get cancer in their lifetime. One of the most common cancers for women is breast cancer, which will affect 12% of women.
Anyone who has experienced cancer firsthand or through a loved one knows that there is more to this illness than hospital visits. It is a disease that can impact a person’s physical, emotional and spiritual self and there are many ways that you can support a person with breast cancer.
