When gaslighting happens in relationships, it is more complicated than just telling a lie. This practice is often used by narcissistic people and can be extremely toxic to anyone on the receiving end. But it isn’t always easy to spot. The power of gaslighting is that it can make a victim feel as if they are at fault for their partner’s wrongdoings. This is abuse in itself and can be a sign of deeper issues.
