A great feeling comes with being a part of something – whether it be family, a great group of friends or even a social movement that you believe in. Working together and collaborating with like-minded people continue to be the best ways to achieve real change in this world. However, solidarity can be difficult to find. We were all born to be different and, with that, there can be a great deal of conflict.
Finding solidarity doesn’t mean entirely identifying with another person. It only takes one commonality to begin to build that bridge. While it currently can seem like the world is focused on the things that separate us, this design is all about finding those strings that hold us all together. It is about joining together so that lasting change can begin.

While it can be easy to feel like we each don’t have the power to make a difference, the truth is that citizen-led initiatives have caused positive change around the world throughout history. In the last two decades, we have seen examples of this in all six inhabited continents, making changes that do everything from increase equal rights for all citizens to reducing violence. (ODI)
The #MeToo campaign was an example of the solidarity of women and what they can achieve through working together and raising awareness. One nationwide survey found that the campaign had shaped the conversation for two-third of participants, and over half of the young men acknowledged how it forced them to confront their innate privilege.
