Around half of the global population experiences periods and they play an essential role in our evolution. Yet, for many, conversations around menstruation remain uncomfortable, taboo, or even “gross”. Tampons and other sanitary products are still not even considered essential in many major countries, allowing them to be taxed and making them less accessible to everyone. Whereas, in comparison, men’s razors are tax-free.
This design promotes period positivity and aims to normalize the conversation surrounding periods. While some might not wish to discuss it, this is not a practice that most women can escape or avoid. We grow up learning how to experience all aspects of life - good, bad and difficult - while bleeding, cramping and dealing with shifting hormones and should feel comfortable discussing that part of ourselves.Artist: Bridget Moore
