Lika Kvirikashvili created this beautiful design to celebrate the diversity of self expression, specifically through tattoo artistry and messaging. Tattoos are a great way to express something internal about yourself on your exterior body. They can also be linked to something deeper —many people use tattoos as a form of therapy to work through things like trauma, abuse and issues that have affected their self identity.
While tattoos have become more popular and normalized in the past few years, there is still a stigma surrounding them and the people that have them. This is not only a celebration of the artistic expression of tattoos, but also a reminder that they can never tell a person’s whole story.

Tattoos actually improve your immune system. A study published in the American Journal of Human biology proved that tattoos stimulate an immune response, which can strengthen your immune system’s ability to fight future illnesses. (Wiley Online Library)
Tattoos have a positive correlation with confidence and self esteem. A study of nearly 3,000 college students showed that the more tattoos someone had, the higher their confidence levels. It is unclear at times which correlates to which, but there is no doubt that the two are intertwined. (Chronic Ink Tattoo)
