Though we’ve come a long way in reaching equality between genders across the world, there is little doubt that we still have some work to do, even in the most progressive countries. There is still a gender pay-gap. There are still issues of sexual harassment and a lack of support for women who experience violence or other forms of abuse. There are still expectations, limitations and prejudices put on women in their jobs, home lives and throughout society. This design proudly states that there is no greater gender and that however you identify, you should receive the same rights and level of respect from everyone you meet.

One aspect that people seem to miss in the gender pay-gap is that women are consistently under-represented in high-level high-paying jobs, and overrepresented in minimum wage jobs. Women have 63% of minimum wage jobs in the United States. So even if female CEOs make a similar amount to their male counterparts, there are significantly less of them, despite similar levels of education and experience. (Inequality.org)
There are many aspects of gender inequality that are rarely mentioned or thought about. For example, women are 47% more likely to suffer severe injuries in car crashes because safety features are designed for men. Statistics like these show how institutional inequality is; we live in a world that was created by men, and we have not adjusted many aspects of society to reflect the changes that we say we have made in equality.
