While the story of a wolf in sheep’s clothing seems like just a fairytale, the reality is that there are predators and those who wish to harm others who disguise themselves as friends and even lovers. We have unfortunately all likely met someone in our lives who have caused more pain than good. The worst are those that see no consequences for their actions and continue to terrorize and harm, whether that be by abuse, violence or other tactics.
This design challenges the idea that you can a person’s true character from what they choose to show. There are many predators and abusers that get away with their actions because they are seen as “good people” to those around them and those in power.

Grooming refers to actions to entice a minor to engage in some form of sexual activity. Over 60% of these relationships start online and the largest percentage of victims are between the ages of 13 and 14. In order to groom a child, the predator first needs to gain their trust and usually presents themselves as a person of support in the child’s life. (Cybertip)
However, it is not just children that need to be aware of being approached by predators online. Crimes involving dating apps increased by more than 400% in the past 4 years, with most happening the first time people met in person. This does not include only sexual assault, as there were also victims of fraud, physical assault and theft. To help reduce the risk, experts suggest keeping to public spaces on early dates.
